Recipe FAQs

What type of bread works best?

Brioche or challah bread is ideal, as their rich texture soaks up the custard beautifully without becoming soggy.

Can I use frozen blueberries?

Yes, frozen blueberries can be used directly, but fresh berries provide a brighter burst of flavor.

Is it necessary to refrigerate before baking?

Yes, refrigerating allows the bread to fully absorb the custard, resulting in a moist and tender texture once baked.

What are good toppings to add?

The topping blend of melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped nuts adds a crunchy sweetness and depth of flavor.

How can leftovers be stored and reheated?

Cover leftovers tightly and refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the oven to maintain texture and warmth.
