# Cooking Tips:

01 -
  • It tastes indulgent and custardy but delivers serious protein that keeps hunger at bay.
  • You can prep the batter while your skillet heats up, making it faster than you'd expect.
  • It works perfectly for meal prep or a quick post-workout breakfast without tasting like punishment.
02 -
  • Don't skip whisking the protein powder smoothly into the milk first, or you'll end up with gritty bits throughout your custard.
  • Medium heat is non-negotiable; too high and the outside burns before the inside cooks through, too low and you end up with soggy toast.
03 -
  • Make the custard mixture the night before and store it in the fridge; the bread soaks faster and more evenly when everything is cold.
  • A light dusting of cinnamon on top of the cooked toast, right before serving, adds a little extra warmth and sophistication.
